German Language Proficiency Levels (CEFR Framework)

AIT’s German course is structured around the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), offering a clear progression from beginner to advanced proficiency:

A2 – Elementary

B1 – Intermediate

B2 – Upper-Intermediate

C1 – Advanced

Understand long, demanding texts, recognize implicit meaning, and use German effectively for academic and professional communication.

C2 – Proficient
